- Assignment- Renewable Energy (file is attached below this section and in the email)
Once you open the file, these are your options on how to complete:
- Depending on what program you have on your computer you might be able to type directly on the file and save it
- Print and write on it by hand (taking a picture or scanning it to send)
- Writing it out on loose leaf (taking a picture or scanning it to send)
Steps to complete:
- Choose a renewable energy source from this list - wind, biomass, geothermal or hydro (you CAN'T pick solar because that is the example sheet).
- Fill out the blank handout using the energy source you picked. Use the internet as your main source of research.
- Use the example on solar energy to help explain each part (second hand out)
- Overview: Using detailed information, explain what your energy source is. Full complete sentences.
- Advantages and disadvantages: environment (what does this form of energy do to our earth physically? Does it affect our environment?) social/cultural (how does this form of energy affect people or the community?) and economic (how does this form of energy affect our country from making money? what are the costs?)
- Each of the topics (environment, social/cultural and economic) needs to include at least one "where" that is specific to a place in Canada in an advantage or disadvantage answer.
