Question: How much information is needed for the chart (advantages and disadvantages for the three topics- environment, social/cultural and economic)?
Answer:
You have three weeks for this assignment. The government said to give approx. 3 hours a week of work per course, so that would be 9 hours total for this assignment. If you divide up the chart, that's 3 hours per topic (but that includes research time and writing). This is a good indicator of how much to do.
If you email me a completed assignment that doesn't have enough information, I will respond back saying you need more.
If you find that there isn't enough space to write on the handout, create your own chart in word, or on a piece of paper.
Answer:
- you can't give one word answers
- Example- damaging
- if you do point form, it needs to be multiple sentences for the one point. Give descriptions in your writing.
- Example- "hurts the soil" - well how does it hurt to soil? what are the effects?
- Example- "too expensive" - why is too expensive? try to find a comparison of how much it costs or a specific example from a city that uses it
- you need to include specific examples of where this is happening in Canada.
- Example- if one of the advantages is that it protects the wildlife, tell me about it. What wildlife? How is it protecting the wildlife? In what province?
- Example- Solar energy helps Indigenous communities move towards more sustainable future because in Fort Chipewyan Alberta, the government has invested $4.5 million into a solar farm which will create more jobs and invest more money into the community.
- If you could BOLD your "where" this will help show you if you have at least one per topic.
